ウクライナ侵攻を強く非難し即時停戦と撤退を求めるとともに、
ウクライナの国民と協同組合に連帯を表明します

　今次のロシア政府による軍事侵攻は、ウクライナ国民の生命、生活および農業やエネルギーをはじめ生活の基盤を支える産業を根底から破壊しかねず、その被害は将来にわたる甚大なものとなりつつあります。このことは国際法上も人道上も決して許されるものではありません。さらに、ロシアの指導者が核兵器使用を前提とするかのような発言をし、ロシア軍が原子力発電所を攻撃していると伝えられていることは、唯一の戦争被爆国であり、東日本大震災に伴う原発事故に未だに苦しむ日本の国民として看過できません。

　私たち協同組合は、人と人の結びつきと助け合いを基本とするとともに、協同組合の事業と活動が平和の実現に寄与することをめざしてきました。こうした立場から、ロシア政府によるウクライナ侵攻を強く非難するとともに、即時の停戦と撤退を求めます。そして、ロシアを含む国際社会が一刻も早く対話と平和的解決に向け歩み出すことを強く求めます。

　ウクライナの協同組合の仲間は、生命および事業の基盤を脅かされる中で、国民の生命と生活を守るために活動し続けています。ウクライナの仲間の献身的な活動に連帯の意を表明するとともに、ウクライナの仲間を救おうとしている日本及び世界の協同組合とともに、できる限りの支援をしていくことを表明します。

We strongly condemn the invasion of Ukraine, calling for an immediate ceasefire and withdrawal, and express our solidarity with the people and cooperatives of Ukraine

 　The military invasion by the Russian government is fundamentally destroying the lives of the Ukrainian people and the industries that support their livelihoods including agriculture and the energy industry, and the damage is going to be devastating for years to come. This is unacceptable under the international law and from a humanitarian standpoint. Furthermore, the fact that the Russian leader has made statements that seem to presuppose the use of nuclear weapons and that the Russian military is reportedly attacking nuclear power plants cannot be overlooked by the people of Japan, the only nation hit by atomic bombs and still suffering from the nuclear accident caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

　Cooperatives are based on people-to-people ties and mutual assistance and have been aiming to contribute to the realization of peace through our business and activities. From this standpoint, we strongly condemn the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian government and call for an immediate ceasefire and withdrawal. We also strongly urge the international community, including Russia, to step forward toward dialogue and peaceful resolution as soon as possible.

　Colleagues of the Ukrainian cooperatives continue to work to protect the lives of their people in the face of threats to their lives and the foundations of their businesses. We express our solidarity with the dedicated work of our Ukrainian colleagues and express our commitment to support them in any way we can, together with the cooperatives in Japan and around the world that are trying to save our Ukrainian colleagues.
